Construction began in 1891, and in 1894 the Novorossiysk Silo Elevator Barn was commissioned: it was the largest in Europe, and the second largest in the world with a capacity of 49 thousand tonnes. The need for its creation is due to the economic needs of the state.

In order to supply grain to the port, there was a covered overpass 533 sazhen long (1137 m. - in the picture), which moved grain by two belt transporters to overpass piers - berths No. 3 and 4, directly to the holds of steamships. Summing up the work done in the first decades of the 20th century (from 1896 to 1916) to increase the throughput and processing capacity of the Novorossiysk branch, station and port of Novorossiysk, it should be noted that the cargo processing of this transport hub increased from 40 million pounds to 102.8 million pounds on average for 1911-1913.

"Elevator workers at a rally on July 3, 1941 declared their readiness to defend their land from fascist bandits. The elevator staff adopted a resolution and declared themselves mobilized. "When fulfilling the government's task of evacuating grain cargo inland in the fall of 1941, - 748.5 thousand tonnes of grain were exported from the Kuban.

At the berths of the Novorossiysk port, 18-20 transport vessels were simultaneously unloaded. Then all this flow was directed in trains and echelons to its destinations. Taking into account previous traffic, 7,606 cars of grain and flour, hundreds and thousands of cars with equipment and the population were already driven away by rail.

According to the regional executive committee, in the summer of 1942 there were 356.5 thousand tonnes of grain and oil products in the region, including 100 thousand tons of oil, 90 thousand tonnes of cement, 5,684 combines, 13,715 tractors and 440.8 thousand cattle.

1950 - a 3-grade mill with a capacity of 150 (453) tonnes/day and a single-grade mill with a capacity of 75 (129) tonnes/day were built.

The mill of single-port grinding produced by Vetzig with a total flour yield of 78%, a weighted average ash content of 0.75-0.8%. The daily productivity at the time of the test was 70 tonnes of grain per day. The yield of wholemeal flour is 88%, waste - 1.37%.

The growth in export operations led to the construction of a new elevator No. 1 with a storage capacity of 100 thousand tonnes and a shipping gallery for supplying grain to water with a capacity of 1,400 tonnes/hour.

Grain imports begin due to a change in the needs of the USSR, for which the necessary infrastructure is being built: elevator No. 2 for shipping grain to railway cars with a capacity of 44 thousand tonnes. Two Buhler grain receivers are also being installed.

In 1984, the construction of a loading complex with two imported pneumatic superchargers was completed - a grain receiving device from sea and river ships, and its loading into railway cars with a capacity of 400 tonnes per hour, directly from silos of elevator No. 2 for 50 thousand tonnes.

The beginning of a new era of export of Russian grain, reconstruction of all equipment intended for grain import for export.

Technical re-equipment of the terminal: commissioning of two NEUERO ship-loading machines with a total capacity of 1,800 tonnes/hour; increased capacity of the gallery for grain shipment on board the vessel up to 1,600 t/h.

According to the results of the first half of 2015, the Company held a leading position among its competitors - deep-sea ports of the Southern Federal District. In the same year, NKHP PJSC began the successful implementation of the investment program. The construction of a new elevator for 100 thousand tonnes has begun.

2016 – 2018 works on the technical re-equipment of auto/railway receivers, elevators No. 1 and 2 were carried out, including the replacement of outdated technological equipment of existing elevators, devices for receiving and supplying grain to the pier.

In 2017 – 2018 work was carried out on the implementation of the project Construction of a granary with a capacity of 100 thousand tonnes on the territory of Novorossiysk Bakery Plant, PJSC. Construction of a granary of 14 metal silos with a total capacity of 100 thousand tonnes and a receiving device with a railway transport, linking to the existing transport gallery and elevators.

In 2018, the construction of another elevator complex with a capacity of 50 thousand tonnes continues.
